|Triple Pane Insulated Glass Unit (IG) to achieve R-5
Lindsay Windows is able to produce a triple pane window with Krypton gas fill to reach the qualifications of R-5.
Healthy (711) and Pinnacle (811) Double Hungs
Lindsay's double hung vinyl windows have insulated glass units sealed by SuperSpacer, the most innovative and warmest glass spacer system in windows of high value and energy efficiency. They both use double strength glass with two layers of 366 LowE for the ultimate in UV protection, comfort and energy savings. Both the Healthy and Pinnacle windows use 50-60 feet of weatherstrip on average on each window and the insulated glass unit is filled with Krypton gas to reach a lower U-value. The triple pane with 366 glass Healthy double hung with Krypton gas fill has a U-value of 0.19 which the Pinnacle double hung with includes injected form for extra insulation and three seals at the sill to bring their U-value down to 0.18, using either 366 or SolarBan70 glass.
Healthy (730) and Pinnacle (830) Double Sliders
Triple-strength, Softcoat Cardinal 366 LowE insulated glass units qualify for the R-5 program and are used for the ultimate in UV protection, comfort and energy savings. “Bonded” to sash to create structurally sound unit and resist weather intrusion Super Spacer®: the most innovative and warmest glass spacer system for maximum energy efficiency double & triple weatherstripping Multipoint weather sealing locks. Both the Healthy and Pinnalce double sliders have a U-value of 0.19 by using two coats of 366 LowE with a Krypton gas fill in the IG.
Healthy (737) and Pinnacle (837) Slide N Swings
The Healthy and Pinnacle slide n swing windows feature all of the benefits of our standard double slider but it offers the ability for both sashes to swing inside the home for easy cleaning of the outside glass. The sashes move on brass rollers for smooth operation and pivot out with little effort. The Healthy slide n swing has a U-value of 0.19 and the Pinnacle with its additional features, such as foam filled chambers, has a slightly lower U-value at 0.18.
Healthy (760) and Pinnacle (860) Three-Lite Sliders
The Healthy and Pinnacle 3-lite slider windows feature all of the benefits of our standard double slider but it has an additional stationary sash in the middle. The left and right operable sashes move on brass rollers for smooth operation as well. With triple pane Krypton, the Healthy 3-lite slider has a U-value of 0.19 and the Pinnacle with its additional features, such as foam filled chambers, has a slightly lower U-value at 0.18.
Healthy (767) and Pinnacle (867) Three-Lite Slide N Swings
Lindsay's 3-lite Slide N Swings include features from the 3-lite slider (center stationary unit with operating ends) with the unique swing out sashes on the standard 2-lite Slide N Swing. These windows both have the same U-values as double sliders (730 & 830) with the same triple pane, Krypton filled IG. The Healthy series (767) has a 0.19 and the Pinnacle is slightly better, measuring at 0.18.
Healthy (740) and Pinnacle (840) Picture Windows
A picture window is a non-operable window without hardware. It is simply made of the vinyl frame and insulated glass unit. This allows for a tighter seal which equates to lower U-values. Our Healthy (740/7400) picture windows have a U-value of 0.15 and the Pinnacle (840) version measures 0.18. Picture windows are often used as transoms or windows placed over another window or door to help accent a room. Check out the photo gallery tab!
Single (400) and Twin (400-2) Operating Casements
Lindsay's casements (400) feature a fusion welded frame and sash for maximum strength. The multiple chamber frames and sash create maximum energy savings! There are three seals on the sash for maximum thermal efficiency and prevention of air infiltration. Both the single and twin operating casements have a 0.16 U-value.
Fixed, Non-operating Casement
These fixed casements also qualify for R5. This window is similar to the single casement but has no hardware and does not open or close. The U-value with triple pane and Krypton gas fill is 0.16.
Similar to a casement window as it also opens on a hinge. The main difference between the two styles is that an awning window opens horizontally rather than vertically, which somewhat limits how far it can be opened. One benefit of this set-up, however, is that awning windows can often be left open during storms because the open pane deflects rainfall. The U-value of our awning window is 0.19 when using triple pane glass and Krypton gas.
